The key is to take the same bite with each stitch. You def get better with practice! I just started Hexies in July and I've gotten real good! The needles made a big difference, I use Bohn brand and could not be happier. Also, I use cotton aurifil thread for my hand stitching. I use the 50wt but 40wt works well too. It is expensive thread but I moly use it for my hand stitching. Give the longer Bohn needles a try.Jakehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02755611379189841510noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7068783921958940588.post-40244822478841051972013-07-31T14:32:48.332+01:002013-07-31T14:32:48.332+01:00Your hexies are coming along wonderfully! That should help. And once you have it all together the fabric relaxes somewhat and you won't see the stitches at all. Use a fine polyester thread and a fine needle. I prefer whip stitch as I believe it is sturdier and if a break were to occur, it would be less likely to unravel.Karen @ Pieces of Contentmenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00719349569606790410noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7068783921958940588.post-55969832100383866432013-07-18T22:47:26.544+01:002013-07-18T22:47:26.544+01:00Love the bee fabric in a hexagon shape :-) Either ...Love the bee fabric in a hexagon shape :-) Either stitch will work fine, I always just whip stitch.
