Whoops!

I may have left the iron on all night! Please tell me I'm not the only person to do this! And please don't tell him indoors - I'll be in the doghouse for a week! I know, I know - I could have burned the house down!

Get one with an automatic switch off! Ours cuts out after about 5 minutes of no movement, brilliant for us, but it's generally DH who leaves it on!

Been there...done that. Also done it with curling tongs (decades ago) and once with a burner on the gas hob!!!! but that was only for about 4 hrs, from evening meal until bedtime - I only noticed the tiny flame when I turned the kitchen light off. Ho hum.

I'm always worried about leaving on my iron too! After reading your post, I had to go and double check mine since I was sewing last night too. LOL.

Oh boy! I have left the iron on, burners on low, candles burning...your secret is safe with me!

I leave mine on all the time. You would think I would learn. This is why I now have an iron with an auto switch off timer built in. The light flashes so you can see it is plugged in but no heat is emitting. You would be surprised how many times I see the light flashing when I am turning out all the lights downstairs before going to bed.

I've done it for longer than overnight! I don't think you could have burned the house down unless it had fallen over. But shame on you, anyway! LOL

I am feeling smug, which means I will probably do it next week too!
